เมื่อวันที่ 18 มิถุนายน ค.ศ. 2018 ศาสนจักรได้ประกาศแผนการจัดพิมพ์หนังสือเพลงสวดฉบับรวมเล่มใหม่ในชื่อ “เพลงสวด—สำหรับบ้านและศาสนจักร” ซึ่งเป็นชุดบทเพลงศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่รวบรวมเพลงสวดและเพลงสำหรับเด็กไว้ด้วยกัน โดยจะมีให้ใช้งานทั้งในรูปแบบดิจิทัลและรูปเล่มให้บุคคลและครอบครัวไว้ใช้ที่บ้านและที่โบสถ์

เรากำลังมองหาบุคคลจำนวนหนึ่งที่มีความสามารถสองภาษา มีพื้นฐานด้านการแปล ดนตรี บทกวี หรือการเขียนเชิงสร้างสรรค์ในภาษาไทย ในทุกระดับประสบการณ์
รายละเอียดงาน
นักแปล หรือ ผู้ตรวจทานเนื้อหา
1. ตำแหน่งเหล่านี้เป็นงานที่มีค่าตอบแทน โดยจะทำงานในฐานะผู้รับจ้างอิสระ และสามารถเลือกสิ้นสุดสัญญาได้ตามต้องการ
2. นักแปล มีหน้าที่สร้างสรรค์งานแปลจากบทเพลงภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาไทยในเบื้องต้น และนำความคิดเห็นหรือข้อเสนอแนะจากผู้ตรวจทานเนื้อหามาปรับปรุงงาน
3. ผู้ตรวจทานเนื้อหา มีหน้าที่ตรวจสอบงานแปล โดยเน้นที่ความหมายและความเหมาะสมของภาษา
4. ผู้สมัครควรมีทักษะภาษาอังกฤษในระดับดี มีความชำนาญในภาษาไทย สามารถเขียนเชิงสร้างสรรค์ในภาษาไทย มีความคุ้นเคยกับดนตรีและบทกวี มีทักษะด้านเทคโนโลยีพื้นฐาน สามารถทำงานตามกำหนดเวลา และสื่อสารกับทีมงานเป็นประจำได้อย่างชัดเจน
5. สามารถทำงานจากที่ใดก็ได้ และควรมีเวลาว่างอย่างน้อย 5 ชั่วโมงต่อสัปดาห์ และไม่เกิน 24 ชั่วโมงต่อสัปดาห์ ทั้งนี้จำนวนชั่วโมงที่ต้องใช้ในแต่ละสัปดาห์อาจแตกต่างกันไป

On June 18, 2018, the Church announced plans to publish a new unified hymnal. “Hymns—For Home and Church” is a sacred music collection of hymns and children’s songs that will be available digitally and in print for individuals and families to use at home and at church.

SEEKING
We are seeking talented bi-lingual individuals with any background in translation, music, poetry or other creative writing experience in Thai language. All levels of experience are welcome to apply.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
TRANSLATOR OR CONTENT REVIEWER
1. These are paid roles. A translator or content reviewer will be an independent contractor and can choose when to end their contract.
2. A Translator is responsible for creating the initial translation of a song from English into Thai language and for incorporating feedback from reviewers.
3. A Content Reviewer is responsible for reviewing the work of a translator, with a focus on meaning and language acceptability.
4. A translator or content reviewer should have solid English skills, be fluent in Thai language, be able to write creatively in Thai language, be generally familiar with music and poetry, have basic technical skills, be able to meet deadlines, and be able to communicate clearly and regularly with other team members.
5. A translator or content reviewer can live anywhere and would ideally be available for at least 5 hours per week and up to 24 hours per week. The hours required for the project may vary from week to week.
